AGUSTINA MISTRETTA

“My practice is rooted in photography, yet it moves beyond a single perspective, returning to the same subject through multiple vantage points. I explore the connection between humans and the landscape, not through a linear narrative but as a constellation of moments and memories across time. Film allows me to capture the essence of a place—its presence, its absence, its echoes. My work is intrinsically tied to nostalgia and longing, reflecting the experience of being in the world.

I combine different mediums through machine and hand-made printing techniques, always sourcing images from film—whether personal or family archives. The greatest challenge within my practice is translating these images from film into the world, bridging the individual and the universal so they resonate beyond my history.”
